Best Of The Rest 2025
Round One: Singles – Round Two: Doubles
This year the best of the rest spans TWO WEEKS, so Tall Firs is just the first half.
The points from Tall First carry over to Sedro, so at the end of the fourth round we’ll see who comes out on top!
As a player, here’s what you need to know:
- Get your starting hole from your captain, it’ll be on a coin.
- Play your match.
- In the morning it’ll be singles, you play whoever has the chip that matches yours in color and number.
- In the afternoon it’s all doubles, play the other team on your assigned hole.
- Know your handicap. It’s on the website (click here) and it’ll be available in print at the score table.
- Tell your captain who you played and what you shot. They’ll add it to the digital scorecard*.
- That’s it!
Doubles will use the average of the two handicaps, rounded down to the nearest half.
As a captain, here’s what you need to know:
- Get your hole assignments first thing in the morning.
- It’ll be a bag of 12 coins.
- Distribute the coins to your players.
- The six coins for round one will all play singles with normal handicap rules.
- The six coins for round two make three doubles pairs.
- As noted above, doubles will use the average handicap. This allows for pairs that otherwise could not play together during the season.
- Using the updated BOTR captains sheets*, record your players results and opponents as your normally would.
- It will be important to note the opponents name during the match as they are not preassigned or recorded anywhere.
- Ask any questions to the score table.
*BotR captains sheets are experimental. In the event of complications manual scorekeeping will be done by the scorekeeper.
