Round 5 is officially in the books, and the top of the league is starting to separate. If you aren’t hyped for the shakeup and the potential for chaos, you might want to double-check the standings.
The Top Tier
Frost Creek Yetis (4-1) They remain the benchmark. Still sitting near the top in points, the Yetis are the team to beat. Just a heads-up: if you’re playing golf in the woods up North, keep an eye out—that’s the Yetis’ natural habitat.
Silver Lake Shrooms (3-2) Don’t let the two losses fool you; they are leading the entire league in total points with 38. They are scoring at a completely different level right now, and the pressure is showing. If you want that top spot, you’re going through them.
Right There in the Mix
Oak Town Reapers (3-1-1) Cruising steady and perfectly aligned for a clean approach into the stretch run. There’s been no turbulence yet, but buckle up—the captain just turned on the seatbelt sign.
The Race
Blyth Squad (3–2) Unbothered and rising. If they find their rhythm in the back half, they’re a major problem for the frontrunners.
Sedro Woolley Mammoths (3-2) Skagit heavyweights with raw power. A sleeping giant waiting for the weather to turn.
Terrace Creek (3–2) Former champs and King County threats. High point potential—never count out these veterans.
Arlington Eagles (3–2) Hanging right in the thick of the Snohomish division and not giving away an inch for free. They’ve proven to be one of the scrappiest teams in the league this year.
The Shakeup
The Blaine Banshees taking down the Yetis is the story of the week. That is no small feat. Any time the top team is handed an L, the whole league takes notice. A massive result for the Banshees.
Hot Rounds: Sun’s Out, Guns Out ☀️
The conditions were clearly right, and these players were locked in. Scoring this well on temporary layouts usually results in even higher ratings, but these numbers are already elite:
- Adam Alexander: Fired a 45 (Rated 1028) at Woodland Park.
- Garrett Schwab: also shot a 45 (Rated 1025) at Silver Lake.
Ace Alert! 🌟
Nothing shifts the energy of a round like the sound of chains even if its one of your last holes. Huge congrats to our Round 5 sharpshooters:
- Elliot Wiegand: Silver Lake, Hole 5
- Matt Nerland: Woodland Park, Hole 17
Looking Ahead: Round 6
The home stretch is officially here. The top teams are established, the points race is tightening, and after the rounds we just witnessed, nobody is safe.
Next Stop: Frost Creek and Edgewater.
See you on the tee pad. 🥏
